Pink Tarty Long-stalked Rhubarb!

This past weekend I checked on the 12 rhubarb plants in my Dad's garden. There were big luscious leaves with pretty pink and crimson tinted stalks almost ready for their first harvest. Of course, my Mom always has first pick for her much-craved strawberry rhubarb pie, making its annual seasonal debut on the May 2-4 weekend. But once the first pie is baked, it's time to get busy with some other rhubarb recipes. Here are a few of my picks...

Have a sweet day!

Tips From My Kitchen

For extra-dry hands, here's a great at-home solution...

For exfoliation, take 1 tbsp. white sugar and add a few drops of moisturizing dish soap. Mix to make a grainy paste.

Rub and scrub all over hands. Rinse and then rub in a rich moisturizing hand lotion.

A longtime favourite of mine is L'Occitance hand cream. It rocks!

Another handcream favourite: Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve.
